The Russians Admit It: Martí Has Defeated Marx, Lenin, Mao and Deng Xiaoping, and Will Defeat Castro

In an article published by RIA Navosti (the Russian News and Information Agency), political columnist Pyotr Romanov (nice name), having returned from an assignment in Cuba in January, gives his not-altogether-on-target impressions of Cuba and Fidel Castro, but discerns one very great truth that compensates for his many errors:

"In Cuba José Martí has consistently defeated Marx, Lenin, Mao and Deng Xiaoping. I am sure that in the future he will "usurp" Castro as well because the 1959 revolution has failed to reach its other goal — bring genuine democracy to the Freedom Island."

Reviews are not just given away; they must be earned by a level of stupidity which only Val's Babalú, Henry's contributions to it, Marc Másferrer's Uncommon Sense and Oscar Corral's Miami's Cuban Connection have thus far fully merited. If you want to be reviewed, Nelson, you have to set your dial on stupid and leave it there. Simply reproducing Henry's manifestos won't do it. You actually have to demonstrate some original stupidity. You came close with your recent remark that Jimmy Carter "lost" the Panama Canal, by which I suppose you mean that he returned Panamanian land to Panamanian sovereignty. Will you also castigate a future American president who terminates the perpetual lease on Guantánamo Naval base for "losing" the naval-coaling-station-turned-concentration-camp? Reflexive anti-liberalism can lead you astray just as well as reflexive anti-conservatism. Remember, we are Cubans and hence not bound to the liberal-conservative American political paradigm.

I shall get there, don't you fear. In the meantime, why don't you just hang around here?

Manuel,
while you are at it, why don't you post some of your comments on the Armengol and Rui Ferreira blogs? The over preponderance of communists on those two blogs is overwhelming and sickening. Why, it amazes me is how come all these idiots continue to live in the USA since they defend Castro and his Revolution so much. They don't miss a chance to discredit the exiles and praise the Cuban regime. They also do not miss a chance to pour their hatred and venom on the exiles specially if they are from the older generation. Every day these 2 blogs are full of pro-castro opinions and comments. We need a heavy hitter to ruffle a few feathers among those "enlightened folks".
